Summary[edit]

Twelfth grader Grace Jiang, 18, completes a major works assignment during an advanced placement literature and composition class Dec. 3 at Sand Creek High School in Falcon School District 49. Jiang is a semifinalist for a Boettcher Scholarship, a merit-based award for a full-ride to any four-year college in Colorado. Since 1952, the Boettcher Foundation has awarded nearly $60 million to some of Colorado’s best and brightest students. After a nomination by her school counselor, Jiang competed an application and wrote several leadership essays. She's planning on majoring in chemical engineering, and work in pharmaceuticals or the petroleum industry.
